Oncology Management Programme

Sasolmed members diagnosed with cancer can benefit from our Oncology Management Programme, offering support and reliable information on managing this disease. Under this program, we cover all approved cancer-related care, working closely with you and your healthcare provider to ensure a clinically appropriate and cost-effective treatment plan.

If you receive a cancer diagnosis, it's crucial to register on the Oncology Management Programme. To do so, your healthcare provider should email us a copy of your laboratory results confirming the diagnosis at oncology@sasolmed.co.za

Prior to commencing treatment, your cancer specialist must submit your treatment plan for our approval. Please note that we will only fund your cancer treatment if the plan is approved through the Oncology Management Programme.

All treatment plan requests must be submitted to Mediscor for review via email to sasolmedonco@mediscor.co.za

Mediscor will handle all medicine related components of the treatment request and will communicate the outcome of your medicine request to you on behalf of Sasolmed.

Discovery Health will manage the non-medicine components of the treatment request and will communicate the outcome of your medicine request to you on behalf of Sasolmed.
