Medicine formulary

Mediscor is a South African pharmaceutical benefits management (PBM) organisation. Mediscor's responsibility to members is to electronically adjudicate a medicine provider's claim in real-time against complex financial, clinical, and pharmaceutical utilisation rules.

• You can view the applicable formulary for your network option
• To find alternative medicine that is covered in full for your network option.

All medicine is subject to the Medicine Reference Price (MRP). MRP is the maximum price that the medical scheme will pay for a certain medicine. It is usually calculated from the average price of several generic medicines which is less expensive than the original medicine. If you choose to buy a medicine that costs more than the MRP, you may have to pay the difference between the MRP and the cost of the selected medicine.
